Yesterday, for example, Michael Kors, one of the most influential visionaries when it comes to American sportswear, weighed in on how to achieve the right blend of chic, elegance and street smart savvy. It’s no accident that his finale was to the ’70s classic “Native New Yorker” (and yes we know there were guys in the show and the song talks about being a New York City girl).
But it was fitting because Kors’ Fall 2010 collection was all about creating that street smart, effortless, polished look that women want. The color palette was a bit muted as we’ve seen during the entire run of Fashion Week.
